i know it might not be my place to just come out of nowhere and expect u to try this but it may help. Instead of using something to cut urself u could hold pieces of ice tightly in ur hand for as long as u can. This may give the same sensation that cutting does (without the cutting part).
i know that doesn't really solve anything but it is a better than cutting.

yeah. my doc is trying to get me to use that to help ground me too (instead of dissociating)
