I have had a bad weekend.
I'm trying to make this week better.
My urges are really strong.
My distraction skills aren't really working.
Bought a new knife.
Grr.. will I ever stop.

My wish for you is that you might find the strength to no longer cut, amayastar. I send warm images of success your way...

I'm am truly sorry you are struggling. I have been there. It is a hard thing to go through. Can you email your therapist? Maybe some kind words from him/her will help you.

I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. I know it feels terrible to struggle with the urges. It feels just plain awful. Amayastar, I'm sending gentle thoughts and energy your way.

I hope you can be as gentle and kind with yourself as you can manage,
Swim

Are you angry? Sometimes, if I do angry, ugly drawing, it helps get some of the bad feelings out.

You have to fight the urges. I know they are strong. I'm having them too right now. Cutting is only going to help you feel better for a short time. Please be kind to yourself.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Ok, so you have bought a new knife. I'm assuming you have not yet used it? If so try not to be fearful - you may not need to use it. Sometimes we seek comfort in less obvious places.

Instead of distraction - could noticing these feelings and sitting with them a bit help to delay any action more effectively?

Just some thoughts. We all know hard it is and appreciate each others efforts. I too wish you the best in finding your way through this.
