What is the best SI technique that really takes the pain away. I need to know. Drinking is not working thoroughly enough. I can't get access to drugs. Please let me know what you have used in the past.

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling. Are you in therapy at this time? That might help if you are not there yet (though I think I read somewhere you are/were? I could be mistaken)
you know we can't recommend or suggest si techniques, but we can point you to some healthier skills. I find losing myself in a movie or tv series helps me forget things for a while. Reading is also good if you can concentrate on it. Getting out of the house and doing safe but distracting activities might help. Talking to someone you trust and feel safe with its a good option...

No amount of si will take away your pain. it may numb it for a while, but the pain will be there once the si wears off. If you don't address the pain, you'll just find yourself bouncing from one numbing activity to the next when the previous one is no longer effective...

hope you can find some safe relief. Till then, keep talking here.
Thanks for this!

Hi dancinglady.

I know you did not ask for ways to avoid SI, but I do not want to recommend you SI techniques.

Sometimes screaming in pillows and crying a lot makes me feel better. Some people find punching pillows very cathartic.

I hope this helps.

Sending you warm hugs.
Thanks for this!

RUN. if you feel like anything is about to happen, go for a run. whenever i have bad days and feel like i can't control my actions i go for a walk/run, and when it starts creeping in i run harder until i literally cannot think of anything besides one foot in front of the other and trying to breathe. i usually end up so exhausted after that i don't even think to SI.
hope this helps
