Anyone shows their T their SI? Do you show them while they are fresh or only scars?

With my old T she would ask if I have done anything and if I did she would ask to see if they were in a place where she could (arms) and I would let her see them.

My new T doesn't know that I relapsed but I'm pretty sure she will know this session today, but I don't know if I want her to see them because...

They've gotten worse and I don't want to stop

I've shown my T photographs of the scars.
Possible trigger:
I sent her the photographs per email, with a note that I sent them in case she was curious what it looked like but that she shouldn't feel obligated to look at them if she didn't want to/felt uncomfortable.

I've shown her via photos off of my phone. She's seen pretty much every area on my legs, all when they were old and once that was "fresh enough" to still have visible blood.

I've shown her healing carving in my upper arm.

And, I spazzed out a few months ago and did some pretty extreme cuts in another area and I showed her that via photo during a little break down and they were 'next day' photos.

My therapist asked to see the marks one time. It was embarrassing to me personally and I felt that the marks that I had that day were somehow "not good enough".....

I don't think I'll ever be able to show my new T my SI. She overreacted when I told her relapsed and I lost my trust.

With my old T I didn't like her seeing them because like IDM, I felt they were never good enough. Sometimes I found myself SIing more because I wanted them to be "enough" as she started making me show her.

Since I cut on my arms mostly and rarely on my hips, I have not needed to do photographs but that's a good idea. Plus through email, you aren't there while their looking, making it less embarrassing.

They've asked, but I've never shown the marks because they weren't easily accessible.

A couple have asked but only if I was comfortable in having them see. They have been the only two T's that understood SI. I had a pdoc accuse me of SI'ing when I wasn't and wanted to see. That was the last time I was really honest with her.

No have never showed them and can't see that I would. They feel too personal or maybe shameful.

when I was SI'ing on my arms, sometimes my T would ask, and I would show her. I was always really embarassed... Then I started SI'ing in harder to access places, so only Dr's have seen them. Occasionally, a new T will ask to see my scars. I show my arm with the disclaimer that they are old, healed scars, and that the other areas are worse... I never take pics, nor would I be able to. I would be too worried someone else would see it. As much as my SI helps me, I don;t necessarily ever want anyone else to see.

I could never take a picture of them because I am too scared that someone else would see them.
