Hey everyone! (Absolute trigger)

I want some recognition from my family, and I want someone to care for me. More than once, I have tried to break my hand. When I get very depressed or angry, I punch the floor or the wall as hard as I can tolerate. Some bruises, but not a snapped bone at all. I always fantasize about me being in a hospital with people visiting me to make sure I'm okay, and actually feel some love at last. I try to find the most minimal of all excuses when I feel the slightest of pains, so that I can see how my family would react.

I will probably not end up breaking some bones intentionally, but I am surely hoping for an accident to happen or so.

((((RT))))

you're treating your body in a way as to suggest it is of no value. this assumption is wrong. you DO matter and your body IS precious. you are not worthless

Maybe, those who treat you as if you are "worthless", are the "worthless" ones...

is there another way you can find out whether they care?
I know I often get the thought in my head tha "genuine" caring comes from being hurt. My T tries to help me see that I have people in my life that genuinely care about me without me being abused or hurt...
I hope you can get that reassurance without having to harm yourself.
Have you addressed this with a T at all?
Thanks for this!
