i'm so glad you found an alternative. i know it doesn't feel the same or have quite the same effect, but that's a great and positive step.

I found that when I was in the very final stages of quitting SI for good,that drawing on my arm, the pattern I wanted to cut, really helped lessen the urge and made me feel better.

Whatever works for you (outside of SI) is a good thing.
Personally, I tried this - it did not help; but I know we are all in different places. |

I got told (not by my therapist) to go for a run to get the lactic acid BURN that actual matches offer! I laughed and said, "it happens sometimes at 10 in the night" Reply: "run on the spot" I laughed! (On the inside!) Seriously....... ??? But I've heard pen works for cutting.... Hope it's helping!!
