I've had really hard times getting back up on my feet after I've cut myself, especially when I've been able to go a year or two without doing it. I found this post helpful with some good ideas for getting back up on your feet.

https://hopeshearth.wordpress.com/20...-isnt-the-end/

I'm looking for more ideas about what to right after I cut and I'm feeling guilty. I mean, in the long run, I feel like I know what to do...It's just for the day or so after I've cut, it's really hard to move on and not hate myself. Anyone have any?

Thanks, I thought it might be useful to see what worked well for other people to get more ideas.

My SI method of choice is
Possible trigger:
and instead of SIing, I sometimes write those words on my thigh with a marker. Only thing that works so far.

Can't remember what helped me, specifically. I imagine, though, that talking about it with someone can be a good option. Nothing worse than suffering alone. >.<

Unfortunately, when you're clouded by "fog" and unable to see reason, simply talking to someone online can have limited actual support. Also, sometimes physical comfort (a hug) would help so much more.

I'm sure you've helped people, but when you're struggling, would you want to talk to a strange millions of miles away, online, or someone you know well, in person?

The one thing that helps, is getting out of my head. But some times the forums just are triggery so It's only a once in awhile thing.
Thanks for this!
