I want to hurt myself. The promises that I've made make no sense to me. The meds don't help, and my psych says that if I want to get over my problems I need therapy. My case manager won't put me into therapy. I know that I shouldn't give into my thoughts, but I really want to cut.

Sorry you are feeling so low and contemplating self harm. Here are safety plan explanations and tips so you can devise a plan to prevent self harm.
Psych Central - Search results for Safety plan

If you feel that there is a risk of acting on these thoughts call a hotline right away.

If you have a therapist or psych doc, contact them as soon as you can to look at meds.

(((jaman))) - I was really pleased admist this difficult situation to read that you had written: " I know that I shouldn't give into my thoughts".....keep assuring yourself that this is true....I know you want to, but right in this very moment, you are aware of this important factor ... don't give in

When I'm strongly tempted to hurt myself, sometimes I play the 15 minute game. The idea is that you choose whetted to harm or not, it's your choice. If you choose not to, wait 15 minutes, occupy or distract yourself, do something positive, at the end of 15 minutes, if the urge is still there, choose again, if you choose not to, repeat the process... If you get through the urge, ring someone or even email Wedge@lifesigns.org.uk check them out, http://lifesigns.org.uk it's a good site run by a small charity of people who do or have self harmed.
Thanks for this!
