It helps surprisingly well for the wait. I just feel like s--- because my moms an alcoholic, and my girlfriend doesn't know I'm doing this. I can't wait to get to stronger alcohol.

I am sorry you are feeling so filled with despair. Psych Central refers people to crisis centers or hotlines that have thoughts of harming themselves or are in danger of doing so.

Here are safety plan explanations and tips so you can devise a plan to prevent self harm.
Psych Central - Search results for Safety plan

If you feel that there is a risk of acting on these thoughts call a hotline right away.

If you have a therapist or psych doc, contact them as soon as you can to look at meds.

Gangan go easy on yourself. Are you seeing a therapist or counsellor at the moment? Sounds like you could do with some support. Don't struggle on your own. Xx
Thanks for this!

I had a problem like this; or still do. I only recently quit drinking, but I know that's not always easy. My SH continued even after I stopped drinking but it's been reduced, at least in severity. Drinking with a trusted friend prevented me from my SH at the time, but the second they left I no longer had anything to stop me.
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry that you're having to struggle this somewhat alone

I wish you could find some inner peace and comfort.

Many of us had and or still do self medicate. Drinking is just that for us. We don't drink to socialize, we drink to feel normal. Could even be substance abuse too. Therapy is a very good solution to help u. You learn some coping skills that become second nature after you keep trying.

I have to fake my happiness so that my therapist will let me back into job corps. I've already tried some coping skills, they don't work.

The thing is; I don't want to change, and I don't want so called help.
