How long did it take?

I'm getting scared because it's been 6 months and it's still really really bad.

It has been YEARS of therapy. So far, very little return on my "investment".

It's different for everyone. There are a lot of factors. It can be a really hard thing to give up. Are you seeing any improvement? That's how I would judge. If you aren't seeing any improvement you consider a different kind of therapy.

I am. It's actually helping a lot, it's just hard to give up.

I've been in therapy going on four years, I think, skipping here and there a couple months.my current therapist isn't helping, so I am on the hunt. I hate dropping her, but she just listens and then asks when I want to schedule my next appt. I just assume I'll be in therapy pretty much forever.

I quit cutting for years. I'm kind of afraid of the therapist getting frustrated I haven't made much progress since I started seeing her in January. It's less frequent but more severe. She's the first one who has actively helped me with it and I don't want her to give up.
