*****************TRIGGER WARNING**********************
I have surgery on Wednesday, and near the area that they will be operating on has 2 decent cuts. The last time I cut was Thursday morning, but I keep picking at them and reopening them. And to be honest, I feel the urge to cut more because of stuff going on. My surgeon is my obgyn, and she's aware of the SH, so I don't think it'll be a problem. But I was honest with the pre op nurse during my pre op testing on Friday that I'm a cutter and do have SI, so I just worry about the other nurses and staff's reaction. |

Surgery was today, and I had 1-2 open cuts from yesterday. But the nurses didn't say anything, and my surgeon didn't mention it either. She just ended up writing me a prescription for a cream for them.

 Hope the surgery went well! Glad the nurses and surgeon didn't say anything about the cuts.

I hope you're recovering well from the surgery. I'm so glad nobody commented on your cuts. I hope you can find a way to be kind to yourself too sometime. You DO deserve it, whatever you have done, you're a person first of all, like the rest of us.
