I relapsed into self-harm. I'm not sure if I'm ready to quit for right now. So much as been going on in my life and it keeps me sane. I know there are other things I can do, but the SI at least quells the urges.

Quitting is so hard, when I last relapsed it took a few weeks to get my head in the right place to start again, but I did and have been clean for 6 weeks and counting.
I really hope you can find the place in your mind when you can start again but remember, self injury is understandable, it's a learned coping strategy. It is also an addictive behaviour so the risk is that you will need to do more and more damage for the same relief. Even stopping for a while can help reduce the harm you feel you need should you relapse. Someone once said the path to recovery is paved with relapses and fresh starts until you get there. That really reassured me. Good luck and best wishes whether you're ready just now or not. ![]() ![]() |

I understand that feeling I'm kinda questioning my decision to quit and if I made the smartest choice. But quitting is hard and I think making the choice at a time when you think you are ready is important and it's okay if you decide that now is not the right time to quit. You will know when the time is right.
