im in a first responder class and they started talking about self injury and how its a way to let out feelings and how in some cases its used to get attention. they talked about if u see it tell a social worker or doctor and stuff. man and i was in a tang top. first time in months i felt ashamed and scared about having my scars discovered. I use to be "i rather have you ask me about my scars instead of staring and making up stuff" i wanted to say something but kind of shyed away. It just felt weird talking about a condition you have with a group and they dont know much about it.

i totally understand. well perhaps if you make friends with someone in the class you will find someone who you feel comfortable talking to. It doesnt have to be the whole class, however, you might have a close friend that you feel comfortable sharing with.
