I cut myself on my arm a couple of weeks ago and have recut it a few times so it has not healed. Today the wound has got really hot and the skin around it has gone very shiny. I can't show it to anyone, but I'm scared it's infected.

It sounds infected and you should have it looked at by a medical professional as soon as possible. Go to the ER or urgent care. Or call your doctor in the morning.

Hello Hefalump: It certainly sounds like your arm is infected. I don't know how long these cuts are, or how deep, but it seems likely you're going to have to have it treated sooner or later. Please have it seen to before it gets any worse!

Thank you so much for you comments and suggestions that I go and get help. Thankfully (because I was terrified of having to show it to anyone) my body has fought the infection myself and it has started to heal.
