Alright...so i really hate Trump.

Every time I think about Trump and republicans I get so mad I hit myself. I don't even realize I am going to hit myself in the head until after I have done it. Has anyone else had this experience? Not necessarily about trump but you don't realize you hit yourself until after you've done it? This only started after trump got in office and it is becoming a huge problem for me.

Well I can't say I've had quite the problem you describe. But what I can tell you, based on my own experience, is that hitting your head... especially if it becomes something you start doing a lot is a really bad idea. I don't know what it is that has caused you to develop this habit. But I would encourage you to take steps to figure out a way to stop doing it. If you see a therapist, perhaps talk with that person about it. If not, perhaps the time is nigh? My best wishes to you...

i haven't experienced that exact thing, although i used to self harm as a way to relieve anger. now, sometimes when i think of something i really don't want to think about (usually a memory that makes me ashamed), i get the urge to hit myself on the head - like to make it "go away". now i anticipate that feeling though and mostly can control it, or just put my hands on my head. but the compulsion - it's like a reflex - is strong.
