Hurting myself is a trigger to hurt myself. The cycle won't end, just keeps on spinning.

Like right now, I was fine until I looked at my scabbed knuckles. I was fine until I hit myself earlier. Now all I can think about is the blade. All I see in my head is blood.

It's getting harder to stop than it's ever been.

Yes, self injury is a cycle. It's really hard to stop, but I think it can be done. ((Hugs)) I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the support guys. I've already done it twice today and want to do more. Just like my violent thoughts, the SH thoughts and urges won't let up. But I don't act on the other stuff, I don't know why I act on this. I've never needed to do it multiple times in a day (at least not since I was a teenager). I may just be tired of fighting it all, I can't always fight off every urge and thought.
