I let myself get triggered a few days ago to SH. Now I am stuck in a mood to do it. How do I get myself out of it? It will not stop, I am afraid it will not stop until I do it.
I was freaking out the night it happened , as I was home alone. I could not find my tools as I call them, as we had house remodel and things were not where I thought they were but I was trying to find something that I thought would work. My problem is I do not control cut and go very deep. Most of the time needing medical intervention to close the cut.
Now my brain is stuck on it and I also found my tools.
What do I do?

I call that my thoughts getting sticky. Because they get stuck in my head. Its hard to find a way to get sticky thoughts unstuck but it is possible. Try to get distracted. Do something that you find fun, or energizing, or peaceful. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for this!

When that happens to me, I have to distract myself. And depending on my mood and the situation, different things work in distracting me, and it takes awhile to find something that really works. But usually things that involve my hands work best. I hope this helps
