Help. I'm having really bad urges to cut and over dose. Please help me with ways to over come these urges. I've been harm free for 63 days and I don't want to do it now.
TIA.

(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))

breathe in safety
"i can feel safe"
"i can feel safe"
"i can feel safe"

think of your kids
treat yourself as if you were the friend helping someone else like how you are feeling. what would you do if your best friend had posted that post? do those things for you.

you can do it. be safe.

Thanks Kiya. (((Kiya)))
It sucks the longer I go without cutting or over dosing the more I want to do it.

i know all too well.

but, i trust that there will be a point (much like reaching the top of a mountain) where after that last push of having to go without, it will become natural and easy. The light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep in the game... keep breathing. Get through this moment, then the next.. and the next....

Maybe this will help

If you have a bunch of coins, dump them all over the floor and flip them so they are all the same side up.

Say the alphabet backwards

Pick a room in your place and try to imagine every detail in your head. I do the bathroom with the mold that won't go away.

Think of as many nursery rhymes as you can

Unfold you towels and wash cloths and fold them again.

Build yourself a fort, take in some relaxing things and camp out

Corn starch mixed with water is fun to play with too. Its a liquid and a solid.

Paint some rocks

Get a huge sheet of paper, put it on the wall and draw your paradise happy place

i am sorry you are struggling... i am very much in the same spot as you... things that help me

run on my treadmill till i can't run anymore
take a hot shower (be careful with this one.., i found myself using it)
walk outside barefoot...
call my sons
type a prase over and over until you fill a word document... if you still want to reduce the font size and type someore... refocus on the kids in my class...
call my t ( i am not so good at that one)

Thank you all. Yesterday was horrid. I got through it without cutting. But it was so hard.

Lyn- Stay strong. I read your other post. If I can do it; you can do it!

Thanks for the ideas of other things to do. I will try some of them.
