i did it this morning. i told my mom that i wanted to get help and i wanted to go to therapy. i think she was kind of shocked when i told her but i walked out the door because i had to go to school. i feel so good to get that out. i was just so tired of keeping it in and knowing that i need this help but not taking action. i dont know whats going to happen but atleast she knows now and hopefully she'll take action on it.

Well done, Kax! That's great! Now you just have to make sure that now you have told her, she gets you help. Don't let her persuade you otherwise, and don't allow her to put it off for too long!

Way to go Max!!!!! I hope mom responds by helping you. If she does not then try to speak with her again and tell her you have an appointment with the local mental health center. You are very brave! Way to go.

Max, I'm glad you told her, and hope that she helps you to get the help you need. It's scary to ask your parents for therapy, but most parents do care about you and want you to be ok, even if it's hard for some of them to admit that maybe you need something they can't provide.

It is hard sometimes for parents to face that their children need this kind of help. There is all the guilt running through the mind of how badly we failed. Believe me, I have talked to my T more then once about how badly I failed my children. Sigh. Give her a little time (a week maybe?) to think about it then bring it up again. I know it is hard. You are in my thoughts.
