 i always wanted to be around llamas and alpacas. i did get to work on a llama ranch one summer, hand gentling the new babies. sheer heaven~! when they are touched, the spring straight up into the air, and you have to catch them on the way down and carry them around, so they learn trust. they only weigh about 8 lbs, and are the size of fawns. (sigh) |
