Hello Angelique67: I'm sorry you are encountering this difficulty. Periodically one reads, in our metropolitan newspaper, about instances where seniors have been defrauded, assaulted or even murdered. I'm afraid the unfortunate reality of the situation is that we can be easy pickings...

I have to say that I have been lucky to not have any problems, at least so far, related to being targeted because I am older. And in addition, where I live, the police are very responsive to what they refer to as "quality-of-life" issues. If we call about something that is of concern, they show up.
Thanks for this!

Hi, Skeezyks. Thank you for reading and replying to my post. The police show up here too, but the problem is they are skeptical regarding things said by someone with a mental illness.

So I stopped calling the police. :/

The neighbors have not been waking me lately except for banging on the door in the wee hours, and I've been sleeping almost around the clock. Except for when I'm up for hours past bedtime with restless leg driving me crazy. It's a very weird situation.

Oh yes... I have the restless leg thing too... In fact sometimes it feels kind-of like restless body! If I'm awake late at night I typically get up & walk slowly around-&-around the house. Part of the reason is I simply can't stand to lay in bed feeling like I'm about to jump out of my skin!
Thanks for this!

Yes! It is making my life even extra miserable. I also get restless body! I have been getting off and on my bed to go and exercise and stretch etc. I'm so sorry you get that too. It's impossible to do anything. And I pushed my next pdoc appointment all the way to July something in hopes i will be able to deal with the stairs here again. Meanwhile I'm going mad from it and I'm going to run out of Cogentin soon, and Cogentin barely does anything for it but it's better than nothing. :/

Sorry I sound so frantic.

Benadryl? I should check that out. I have a bottle of generic Benadryl. I am using a lot of hydroxyzine but I don't notice it helping the RLS. Thank you for telling me!

Thank you, Gus, the Benadryl worked! Haha, I'm so grateful for the suggestion. I hope you're doing well today.

The timing hasn't been right, for looking for places, because my friend is in Europe for work, and not here to be able to help me look. It's complicated.

Anyway, I do still plan to move but my friend should be home, hopefully, to help me look for a place. For some reason I'm just not finding the courage to do it alone. My fear of the stairs is keeping me isolated here too.

Do you have a printer? If you do, and are feeling patient (!) how about printing this off and seeing if it helps your restless legs?
