Things baby boomers remember

remember the first 'plastic shoes' ?? they were great for wearing in the river, but in the winter cold, they cracked and fell to pieces.

For some reason those oil dripping lamps always made me think of fly paper.....remember those? You hung poisoned stick paper from the ceiling to catch flys.

Back in the day they were made with arsenic! Just hanging out in the open where kids could play with em! Of course back then they sold chemistry sets for for kids with real radioactive chemicals. So what's a little arsenic?

I'm still sitting in a few of the chairs you had pics of, key tones...I guess my butt is an antique.

I love pinball, too. Those were the days before the video game craze. The only stand-up video game I ever played was Galaga. Video games came after "my time."

Remember paper straws? Paper cups with a thin coating of wax? If you didn't drink your soda fast enough the straw disgenerated and the paper cup leaked. Maybe that's why cups were smaller back then? No 32once back then, no big gulps.
