getting amazing Easter baskets from the Easter bunny and going Easter egg hunting. Plus dressing up for Easter and dyeing eggs.
Thanks for this!

Oh yes! easter baskets....can almost smell and see the sweets and colors
I have a vivid memory of walking at night in the city with my parents during a beautiful winter snow after a visit to an elderly couple...I don't know why it has stuck forever in my head, or why it is so 'sweet' to me.

(I do a snow angel each winter...alone under the sky...)
Favorite memory---taking my daughter to her first concert...(Wallflowers with The Jayhawks opening---) & watching her love it and dance...

Going camping with my best friend and her family during the summers. What fun! And she had a "real" family, not like mine. I felt so safe and happy with them.

I had a friend like that, too. I was fortunate to be able to make some happy childhood memories thanks to them.

Making a tent out of blankets and the clothes line. You had to use blankets because it stayed cooler than sheets. Sleeping bags worked great.

Drinking cold lemonade from cold metal cups

Making igloos in the winter and pretending to be a lost explorer

Years ago my car ended up in a ditch off a Vermont road with nothing in sight...my friend and I stood there deciding what to do when a farm truck came by and stopped. Four huge guys climbed down, expressionless and silent they picked up my Dodge Coronet 440 '68 and put it back on the road, climbed back in the truck and rode away. No one spoke.
and that was a damn heavy vehicle...

I tried that once as a teenager. My friend and I were picked up by some psycho who wouldn’t let us out of the car. We had to escape at a red light. Never again!

A road trip my boyfriend (later, husband) and I took in 1982. We drove my VW Bus from northern Calif to SoCal, then across every state, all the way to Tennessee and down into Mississippi and back to California. What an experience! Fun and fascinating, in so many ways. And quite a learning experience.

I'm jealous, Bethrags. Sounds like great fun. I'd love to do that in my husband's Toyota Highlander.

I have fond memories of swing sets in my yard and my cousins' yard. We'd sing while swinging--and also use waxed paper under our tushes to go faster on the slides.

Oh, when I was a little girl I adored the books about the horses on Chincoteague Island ("Misty of Chincoteague Island" was one of the series).
