I don’t like hot sauce, it gives me heartburn. That article said to use that. Water doesn’t curb my appetite.

In my 20’s and 30’s I ate like a lumberjack and gained nothing. Exercised little too, lol. Our metabolism slows as we age.Our health issues I used to get berated for being a slow eater.

In 2020 and 2021 I gained a lot of weight and of course it went to my gut and hips, not in my forearms or ankles where I need the weight. I was depressed and isolated so sat in front of the tv and ate. And always comfort food since food was all I had.

It’s a hard area to lose weight in. My favorite clothes don’t fit now so it’s an incentive to try to lose something. At least my chocolate cravings are decreasing cause I ate so much when the Ukrainian crisis started.

And it gave me heartburn, so forced to stop awhile. It’s highly acidic which I didn’t know.

Sigh…we know all that stuff already yet sticking to it is hard. They repeat the same thing all the time. Little things can make a difference, like watching my portions. Our health issues

I know a lady with dementia and junk food is supposedly to make it worse. But I can’t tell her those frozen dinners and chips she eats will exacerbate her condition. She’ll bite my head off.Our health issuesOur health issues

This condition changes one’s personality too, sadly. She’s getting to be a b i t c h.

Get the kind that expand in the waist. I have found them delightful!

pachy, I mainly do that. I have some jeans type pants with zippers, but I need to shrink to get into them again.

Ladies, I really like the Alfred Dunner brand of clothes. I try to buy them used on eBay. But sometimes it's hard to get matches because they have named "lines" that all match.

Rather than spend money I don’t have, I prefer to keep my tight jeans as incentive to lose weight. I did it before, so it has to happen again. The only pair that fit me are the pair with Spandex in them or my sweatpants, which were a bit big to begin with. I don’t shop online especially for clothes, as I have to try them on.

I was thinking back about how I had a desk job in the 20's, working at a fancy high rise that had a deli in the lobby. I used to not only get food from the vending machines but I'd go get food from the deli. If they had executive meetings with leftover catered food, I'd be the first one there, helping myself. One time I got there when they were still setting it up for people to eat the leftovers!

Other times we'd have anniversary parties or something in my department, with stuff like pizza, Subway sandwiches, cookies, etc. I swear I'd wolf down so much food all day long, yet didn't gain an ounce. If I ate like that now, I'd be the Goodyear Blimp for sure! And it had nothing to do with being hungry! I just loved food so much and still do. Also, I didn't have to worry about my cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, etc.

Then I'd eat a big lunch at places like McDonald's, along with a big dinner at home with dessert afterwards.

owl, those were the days! Darn this aging process when our metabolisms slow down. Mine is basically non-existent now.
