Yes I think it does. I also know it's essential for cell building, just not too high of a level....And the "good " kind, the HDL, is what you want to go up, not the LDL. I know I've eaten a lot of stuff that's not good for LDL, but I can't win here. Sodium is also necessary but not a lot of course.

I know I gained a lot of weight too since 2020.....I've eaten just the whites of eggs thinking that would help the LDL but alas,no.

Found out the plant was poison hemlock & was saving the seeds from & not Queen Ann's Lace

I got into stinging nettle a few years ago when looking through the field in back of my farm for the 10 foster goats I was keeping that escaped....not so funny. I was so focused on finding the goats that I didn't pack mud from my creek on the stinging on my hand. By the time I went to bed that night, my hand & arm up to my elbow looked like a huge balloon. Took weeks to get that hand & arm back to normal just taking antihistamines. Still not good at ID'ing stinging nettle

Have always packed mud on any plant irritation. Mud dries & soaks up the oils & draws out the poison. Learned that from my grandpa when I was a kid & spent summer Saturdays fishing in the creeks & rivers around where they lived in Kansas.

I had poison ivy from the farm I grew up in. I didn't know there were so many plants that shouldn't be touched--and eaten.

Generalized or "blanket statements", like anything else like that out there. Who are they to say I have "less stress"??? They don't know my life! I'm not "more confident" but I'm "more jaded". (LOL, can't you tell by my comments?)

They forgot to say "more cynical." Didn't say how being trusting can lead to being a victim of a scam, but that happens to younger people too.

At least this explains my moustache getting harder to keep at bay. Or why I have to shave my legs more often, not that there's anywhere to go for people to see them.

Me either, just once or twice years ago. There’s a lot of junky looking stuff there and the atmosphere was so depressing like with lighting, wall colors, etc.

I'm scared to death of that! Surgery of any kind freaks me out, but my EYES???!!! I don't have cataracts and I know not everyone gets them. But they are common......And I don't have anyone to drive me.

I don't know what's considered "high dose" but my own doctor said for me to take OTC supplements because my Vit D level was so low. Well it improved a lot now!

After all those years of hearing avoid the sun because it causes skin cancer, I still avoid the sun. I wear a big hat or use my umbrella, wear sunscreen, and usually long sleeves. Plus, the sun is HOT here where I am, not mild and soothing. If exposes without sunscreen I keep it brief, just a few minutes not hours. Sun exposure is cumulative in how it damages, as I have sun damage now from my years of sunbathing as a teenager! In those days, there was no talk of skin cancer.

Used to get Coppertone's dark tanning lotion and lay there and bake, like chicken! I cringe when I think of it now.

You've reminded me to drink hot chocolate sometimes instead of coffee, LOL. But I keep thinking of it as a "cold weather drink" and we don't get enough cold weather there. Plus it says "MIGHT" help. I don't drink any liquid before bed as that means more bathroom trips. As a kid hot chocolate didn't keep me up or have that effect.....It does have sugar which hypes me up. It's richer made with milk instead of hot water too.

On the subject of cocoa and chocolate, I know the dark chocolate is better since it's not so sweet. But it doesn't taste as rich and creamy.

My house's air conditioner works well enough that I can drink hot drinks.

I don't mind getting up at night to go to the bathroom. But maybe I should drink the hot chocolate as my dessert after dinner.

Some of us can't afford to run the a/c or it's one of those "room" a/c's so one room is cool but the rest of the place is scorching.

Getting up is disruptive to sleep and sometimes it's not easy to go back to sleep.......Really, it's a nuisance. No liquids after 6pm, certainly not caffeinated ones.
