It is close to "enrollment"
Making a decision on a health plan is very daunting. I experience
Confusion with the general
Mumbo jumbo of all this information, time limits, it is insanity! Thank goodness for making early researching.
Wish me luck.... As I wade thru
The swamp.

Good luck with this. Fortunately for me, my wife is "into" this sort of thing & she figured it all out for us. Had it been left to me I'm quite sure it would have all ended up as just a big mess. Or in the alternative, I'd have ended up simply ignoring the whole thing.

Good Luck with Medicare! I didn't have money to get a supplement last year. I'm hoping maybe this year I can figure something out. They automatically cancelled me off medicaid when I turned 65. I did get myself some dental insurance. I couldn't pay my bills when they started taking out $135 for part B

I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield Advantage Plan, there is no monthly payment, but it is kind of 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, because there are co-pays, and you have to spend (6 thousand or something like that....before they kick in and pay everything; because (I am 73), my health as always been amazingly good, I went with that plan (only see the Dr.once a year); somewhere down the road, I might have to go to a different plan where I am paying a monthly premium. Yes, the task was daunting to figure it all out!

Hey, Sandy1333, and welcome to Psych Central! What does your country do for old people's insurance?

I tried to sign up for a COVID test with CVS, but my husband and I were flummoxed when we got a question about what Medicare plan I have. We thought Medicare is Medicare. What are all these policies carried by insurance carriers?

Different insurance companies offer different benefits. I have Medi-Medi, which means Medi-Cal and Medicare. I have zero premiums, and most services and prescriptions are free. Many people on Medicare have Medicare Advantage, which is Part D. This article from WebMD might help you determine the best coverage for your needs. What's the Right Medicare Coverage for You?
