Hi new here. Been nursing my ex husband for 21 months, on my own, mostly due to covid restrictions. Geoff passed two weeks ago. Surviving on my own too, through the grieve and beating myself up as to how I could have done better. 💔

Hi, Scallywag, welcome to PC. I'm sorry you have to go through this alone. Any chance you might find a grief counselor on line? Or maybe a grief support group online? Also maybe some of our forums here will be helpful for you. I hope so. Take care, new friend!

Hi, Scallywag123, and welcome to Psych Central! I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I'm sure you did the best you could under the circumstances. I'm amazed you were able to solely look after him for so long. He was blessed to have you. We're only human, so we must rest and get a break somehow or we'll snap.

The best people to be supportive of you are other widows, and I'm sure we have some here. Please make yourself at home. You'll have some new friends here, including me.

Again, welcome!

So sorry for your loss and that you had to do it on your own, that’s rough! I really hope you can find the appropriate support in the forum.
Thanks for this!
