Hi All,

Just wanted to take a minute to be honest. I was coming back from a Sex and love addicts anonymous meeting on Tuesday night when i got a text from some random guy i slept with before. We started chatting and he asked if he could come over. i said sure but was so irritated with myself until i realized i could change my mind. So i told him no, i didn't want him to come over. i'm so proud of my decision not to act out. it would have had devastating consequences.

Love and Hugs,
Tara

That's really great; the more you practice making healthy choices for yourself the easier it gets.

Well done Tara. It wouldnt have been long before you were feeling low about it all. I do understand. I wanted to do the same when I was hurt badly, just for some kind of affection but I kind of reasoned and rationalized with myself and then just shrugged it off. I was so glad I hadnt (and it would have been very out of the norm for me) I felt so strong and you should feel the same.
