Ok once my friend called me an alcoholic nympho at the time it was true every time I drank I wanted sex. I had a friend who lived by a bar I went to, so I'd go to his place, we were both drunk and wanted sex so it worked. But I recently stopped drinking because I changed meds now I don't want sex as much I guess because I know I'm not going to get any I don't think about it. My friend stopped calling me recently right after I stopped drinking. So I pretty much don't have sex anymore is there such a thing where you can just switch it on and off because I kind of feel like I did. Idk it's very confusing.

hi loki, when we drink it lowers our judgement and inhibitions. i think that is why you wanted sex and acted out. you're normal and once the alcohol leaves our body it takes it time to balance our emotions. so don't worry bout not wanting sex. you'll be ok and things will work out.

Antidepressants may cause mild side effects that usually do not last long. Any unusual reactions or side effects should be reported to a doctor immediately.
The most common side effects associated with SSRIs and SNRIs include:
  • Headache, which usually goes away within a few days.
  • Nausea (feeling sick to your stomach), which usually goes away within a few days.
  • Sleeplessness or drowsiness, which may happen during the first few weeks but then goes away. Sometimes the medication dose needs to be reduced or the time of day it is taken needs to be adjusted to help lessen these side effects.
  • Agitation (feeling jittery).
  • Sexual problems, which can affect both men and women and may include reduced sex drive, and problems having and enjoying sex.

i had the same problem, and for me it was that the alchohol removed my principles, which removed all conviction for me. Plus when i got drunk people looked better, and for some reason i needed to feel loved because i was deppressed. Anyway i know i perform better without it and it feels better as well, it did take some time though for me to get the alcohol out my system and get use to having sex sober, but it is better
Thanks for this!

I have to tell ya that I like drinking and sometimes it enhances what is going on whether it's having sex or just being nude with others. I ease up before i get totally blotted out, but I love the feeling of that high buzz

I too, VERY MUCH enjoy sex when drunk.........to the point that I really cant even think of having it when sober. Why waste a good drunk without a good lay???? This is a question I have pondered for years. My moral code goes out the window when the liquor starts flowing.....ahhh, sweet bliss.
