Is it normal to have a boyfriend but still have a sex dream about someone else?

I hope its normal because this happens to me a lot. Ive even "replaced" my boyfriend at that time with someone else while we were having sex... I feel kind of bad for this but I couldnt help it. It gave it more pleasure.
So yes, I think it is normal and common... Anyone else agree? 21

it is very common. dreams about people arent necessarily *about* the person in the dream, but rather characteristics of them that either you see in yourself, or that you lack in yourself. Perhaps instead of a literal translation of the dream (of cheating on your boyfriend basically), maybe its about connecting with a trait or characteristic that you werent aware of or need to be in touch with now. who knows.

You can't read too much into dreams. They are just your minds way of processing extra stuff from the day. They really don't translate back to what's going on in every day life. You shouldn't be worried about it. Having sex dreams about someone else doesn't mean that you are being unfaithful to your boyfriend, or that you are desiring to be unfaithful.

Dreams like this are incredibly common. God knows I have sex dreams about random people I know. They don't really have anything to do with reality. Dream sex is not cheating on your boyfriend, nor does it indicate that you have any desire to be unfaithful.
