TMI ALERT!

Ugh...I've had the topic of sex toys and vibrators and stuff on my mind for awhile - I guess thinking about it helps relieve my teenage sexual angst! I really want to buy a "vibe", but I'm not yet 18...I don't want to wait that long! Ever since I started masturbating and had my first orgasm..there was no going back I hope this isn't too much info for somebody but I could use a little advice from the ladies here. Where did you get your first one? (if you have one)...do you have a preference on stuff like this? Thanks for any advice regarding this topic. I'm hesitating about posting this but I guess here it goes..

if you aren't 18 I don't think you can go into a place that really sells that type thing. maybe you can order them online but really you should wait I think.

Well this seems more honest than TMI, compared with many people. I suppose buying sex toys is a bit like buying alcohol at your age, but not impossible to get hold of. If you have your own credit card I would get one off the Internet, I have never liked going into those sex shops (I'm a bit old fashioned). Start with just the very simple ones they seem the most reliable, easiest to use and the most effective. The one word of warning I will pass on is that of a previous Pope "It will make you blind" lol and remember also too much self pleasure can make you very introverted so don't over do it. Take Care Jasmine.

Thanks Jasmine...I wish people weren't so opposed to it - I mean, what's the big deal, really? Girls my age are having babies because they couldn't express their frustrations in a safe way. Better a vibrator at my age than an infant!

Ask an older friend to help you get one. I agree that it's far safer than having sex and risk falling pregnant.

I walked into a store with my partner and we discussed what we thought would sound interesting.

If you want, PM me, and I can give you a link to a very good website, that's clean and mature, teaches women about their sexuality, lots of articles, talks about the use of toys... I think a very good start for people that are genuinely interested to learn, as opposed to just stare at a typical porn site.

The problem with sex toys and too much masturbation is that it is "self" or artificial sex and actual sex is part of a relationship with another person. But you get in the habit of a "certain" way and end up not able to have orgasms with another person, not being able to have "good" sex because of having picked up a habit beforehand that circumvents it.

If you are stressed and using masturbation to let off the stress, I would rethink how you can get non-sexual help from contact with other people or other activities that won't link sex and stress relief together that closely so you don't have trouble later. Take an exercise or yoga class or something if you are feeling stressed or talk to a good friend. Being off by yourself masturbating isn't a good place to have to get away from (been there, done that :-)
