It never bothered me that I do not have any sexual preference. I'm not Lesbian, straight, bi or whatever else is out there. I have no libido and never had any urges. Went in for a check up before my hysterectomy and the dr asked me if I am sexually active. He looked at me funny when I said no. Now I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with me. I'm 41 and never been married. Am I the only one??

I think the word for it is asexual. And there are other people like you.

Jeeze. Thought having a name would make me feel less than a freak. Not!

2bme, I'm asexual as well and so are a few other people on these boards. From what limited research has been done, an estimated 1% of the population is asexual. There is a community website (forums, chatroom, wiki etc) called AVEN (the Asexual Visibility and Education Network). It's easily found when Googled
