My therapist asked me this question earlier, and I'm not sure if I was caught off guard or embarassed to the point of not being able to come up with an answer, or if I just kind of don't really have anything that I seriously fantasize about (though I doubt it's this option). I don't know. At the same time, I don't know if I REALLY don't know, or if there's just some weird mental block going on. It's strange.

For the longest time, I felt as though my sense of sexuality had disappeared. Even in being sexually involved with partners of mine, it always felt like it was more about them than it was about me. Like, it felt like I wasn't a part of my own sex life (as an aside, I've never experienced anything related to SA, so that's not a factor here). There was no sense of hunger or desire. I didn't think I had a sex drive.

Turns out that I proved myself completely wrong in that area, but I feel like I'm regaining and rediscovering this entire other side of myself that had previously gone missing, and I guess I'm in the process of learning more about myself and my sexuality. I figured it might be helpful on some level here to ask you lovely individuals what it is that YOU fantasize about. So, what do you fantasize about? What turns you on?

A few things.

Sometimes I just fantasize about being in a relationship with a woman that is an acquaintance.

But in terms of sexual fantasy it's usually about being with a woman who is dominant and treats me like her pet or beats me, etc. I like to prove my love to her by showing how much of her abuse I am willing to take and by following her instructions.

Mine vary depending on my mood and...well, frankly arousal, if we're being perfectly honest. Most of mine are pretty tame. Most.

Consistently though, I notice that whomever I'm fictionalizing as my partner is a spouse, really only ever changing from that role if it falls outside of my "mostly tame" stipulation. The person changes, but rarely if ever the role. I know personally that I want to share the emotional bond and the love with a person more than I do the mere motions of the act of sex, so I suppose that's my subconscious reflecting that desire? I dunno. Freud isn't exactly on hand to interpret that one for me.

The short answer would be...my other half! but in general, i can switch from being really interested in the basics of intimacy like someone simply holding me to the heighth of excitement from being engaged in sexual acts. I guess our fantasies are fluid, its normal to have fetishes and to explore them should we so wish. Just enjoy this time of 'rebirth' be patient and kind and im sure you'll work things out soon enough all the best.

what do I fantasize about... hmmm judging by the answers here I'm pretty abnormal I guess. I've fantasized about having a "normal" life. Having a daughter... taking her to the park or for ice cream. Having superpowers and going around doing good heroic ****. Being a civil rights or trial lawyer. Expediting karma for corrupt politicians and corporations. Flying... without wings. I've done some of my childhood fantasies IRL but I still trot them out occasionally out of habit I guess.
