I have anxiety for multiple reasons, the most obvious being that I'm a virgin. I'm 23 which I suspect is above average. I am a good looking guy, so that could work in my favor. I'm on a bunch of meds for paranoid thinking and mood instability. I have an inconsistent libido. Finally I get frustrated when I see other people in successful relationships, or even more so when they are just hooking up, even just watching tv and movies. I even start to feel angry. I don't get out much. I haven't seen any friends in months, I'm not sure if they like me anymore. Now to a question:

Should I hook up with a prostitute? Will that make me feel any better? Do I have a chance at dating (not expecting sex) given how much of a screwball I am?

Relationships arent all about sex.
I think a prostitute will help with the sex part, giving you an idea of what to do.
If you're good looking it shouldnt be too hard to find a girl.
Try dating sites. Dont reveal your condition on your profile but do explain it to any girl you're talking to and see if shes still interested. This also works outside dating sites. They wont always still be interested but some will. Also dont feel there is any rush to lose your v. Cos that will make you feel worse.

It might provide a confidence boost. You wouldn't be the first to take that route.

If you want to experience sex and want to lose your virginity, then hooking up with a prostitute is a good option. But avoid street workers.

Just don't get great expectations about it being fantastic.

Hmm.
I don't know if a prostitute will make you feel better or worse....

You're good looking....I suspect that a lot of women will think that you are already in a relationship.
Meds can cause libido problems, so don't lump that in with your emotions, it's purely a physical thing...look up the side effects for what you're taking and see if there's an alternative for you to try.

I don't think you're a screwball at all. It's just that you're obsessing about your virginity.
Because of this, you are noticing relationships all around you....much like someone who's on a diet...there's chocolate everywhere

You're still very young, even though you don't think you are. You're only 23....

There's no cut off date for you. Get out with your friends more. Go have a beer and start chatting to girls.
Try some online dating sites.

Find someone special that you really like....or at least like.

21 year old dude year in a similar situation. I'm just here to tell you that your waaaaaay more normal than you seem to think. I know that I am perfectly comfortable being a virgin at soon-to-be 22. I can't help but feel that hiring a prostitute for sex simply for the sake of sex is going to be a mistake you'll regret.
As other's have said relationship does not translate to sex. As such, sex certainly doesn't need to be on top of your priority list. Don't fret over it too much.

I would focus on getting your life in order, worry about relationships and sex down the road a bit. Try to reconnect with friends. If you can't maintain relationship with your friends you chances of a good relationship with a woman.

I have anxiety when it comes to sex, but a bit of Xanax seems to take care of that.

If you want to but as I have said before I think that something like a Sex Surrogate is a better option.
