Sometimes, depends on my nastiness level. If I've been sloth-like all day then I won't. If I've been out rolling in the grass and working in the lawn or whatnot, then I will.

It would be considerate. It isn't always feasible. Sex isn't always planned

I just shower every day. If it "just happened", then no. If I'd been sweating a lot, or whatever, then obviously I'd shower anyway to just freshen up before bed

Would be a bit of a mood killer if I suddenly (or my partner) jumped up and said "wait right there I'm going to shower"

The musky scents of human bodies are one of top sensual delights in life. Anything beyond basic hygiene would kill that, so washing before sex, unless after digging trenches (this is just an example - I do not dig trenches), would be a bad idea.

I find it horrible that young women these days are made to believe that they need something for their genitals beyond a daily wash with a liquid that has the right pH (think of towelettes and what not that is being sold to women). I find it equally horrible that young men are made to believe that they need to shave or wax off their hair (yuck) - off the chest, off the genitalia, etc. It is precisely the hair that makes that intoxicating musky scent stay on the skin. Without the hair and the scent, how are the male genitalia different from dildos? I mean - I do not use vibrators etc. (not yet), but, I gather, there are dildos with buttons that make them move. So to me male genitalia without hair would look like those moving dildos.

The most absurd side to it is that pheromones are on sale - pheromones that are supposedly aiding in sexual attraction. Sure, first have people get rid of their own scent which is free, and then sell them ersatz for money - an excellent business plan.

It certainly puts a damper on my spontaneity. It's like I have to book sex an hour in advance.

If there is time I do, if it is a planned event. But for the most part if a commercial comes on TV and the kids are begin good. We kinda run and say "HURRY LOCK THE DOOR". After kids there is just no time. No time for a shower before sex either. If my H is not to dirty sometimes he will shower afterwards. Sex just adds to the stickiness, and sweatyness, A shower is necessary afterwards for sure.

Do you have OCD? Maybe there is some treatment for it... would be worth finding out.

It's my wife who washes.

This might be because of her personal circumstances, which currently include being post-op, and may or may not improve in the year or so ahead?

Nope. She's been like that for nearly thirty years.

Then it's probably part of how she perceives sexuality, in herself? Some type of shame?
It's not some romance movie nor is it a porn, either.

Eh well if you shower every day you should be clean, but sometimes if we were all clean all the time we would never truly know the scent of our partner, sometimes that salty smell on your partners skin can be nice, and smelling your partner is good bonding, very animal like. Besides if you love your partner you would have sex with them whether they smell like flowers or they kiss you after eating garlic bread. You ignore that stuff after awhile and asking your partner to brush their teeth after food is just rude.
Thanks for this!

Oh yeah, I told my wife that I call that scent "girl musk" and I loves it!

[QUOTE=Webgoji;3660533]Oh yeah, I told my wife that I call that scent "girl musk" and I loves it! [/QUOTEt]

Both men and women secret wonderful musky scents. On men, public hair and chest hair keep that crucial scent, which is why the current trend of waxed torsos and shaved or waxed genitalia is so supremely idiotic.

I honestly do not know the evolutionary reason behind leg hair on women, so I had it removed by laser and am exceedingly happy with the resultant super smooth, infinitely caressable (did I coin a word?) legs, but I do know the evolutionary reason for hair on male bodies - on legs it looks good, on the back it feels good, and everywhere else it smells oh so good.
Thanks for this!

Same here. Not at home with the person I love (only way I have sex) I would shower, brush the teeth and off to magic land! But out on the road or a surprise moment after a night? Well I had to wait until after or the next day.
