I had my first sexual fantasies when I was fourteen. even talking about it makes my libido stronger and stronger. I feel like I shouldn't have to feel this way but because of my exposure to porn on a social media site I began to go through a lot of porn each day. It was terrible. I never dreamed of watching porn but I did and i guess my hormones were driving me like crazy. These raging hormones can be tough to handle at times. I mean, I wonder if people actually had porn in the roman empire? if they did, at least it wasn't that bad. Now it's crazy and i cannot believe that countries would actually legalize porn. like why? even if you make someone agree to a site that says only 18 or older can watch it, anyone can get in with just a click of a button that says i agree and then they proceed. I want to stop watching porn and so far it's been pretty successful. at times i feel like my sex drive is approaching high tide. higher and higher and finally bam! you just lost the race! I wish I was castrated so that I can become a eunuch.

Its normal to have raging hormones for most teenagers and normal to fantasize. You can do this without porn and its normal. The internet is very hard to police so society can't get rid of it. Focus more on your imagine and don't beat yourself up if you stray. You don't have to be perfect.

Unlike you, roman emperors led intense sex lives in RL.

They didn't need porn because they had concubines.
Thanks for this!

Try to imagine your life as a eunuch. Say, you get to live till age 90 being a eunuch all along. How would you like it? Where would the fun be for you? What are the activities that you are currently foregoing because you either watch porn or think about how not to watch porn? Can you engage in those activities right away, without first waiting until you become a eunuch? What do you like to do with your life?

...

to the extent that you want to break free from porn: you will know that you have broken free from it when you stop thinking about it. If you are pre-occupied, then the fact that you are not, technically speaking, watching it is of no consequence. You are still pre-occupied, so you have not broken free from it. You can be pre-occupied and watching, or, pre-occupied and fighting the urge to watch - but still pre-occupied. I am sorry that I am not cheerleading you, but the fact remains - as long as porn has a hold on your mind, you are not free from it. With respect to practical steps - unfortunately for you, there is no pedometer (=step counter) to count sexual thoughts. If there were one, then, given your level of pre-occupation, I would simply spend two weeks watching porn and counting sexual thoughts that occur during and in-between porn watching sessions, and, spend another two weeks not watching porn, and just counting sexual thoughts. After that I would compare the counts and choose the option that yields fewer sexual thoughts.

PS

I propose reading books on history as an activity to replace porn watching.

Use the Internet - it can be quite helpful in answering factual questions .

" "Pornographic" paintings were featured among the art collections in respectable upperclass households" -

a wikipedia quote yielded by a 2 second web search "roman empire sex".

Would writing it out, on your personal computer, be better than watching it?! If preoccupied with something, journal it. Just a suggestion...

((between the afternoon, I have been dealt with, and reading about things(not here) in relation to aversion and addiction, and considering what I've been through in my life--...as far as the difference I saw on some other website, of a therapist about trust, etc...and this topic. I am just trigger happy, tonight....when is it really a problem? when it crosses the line, in a marriage)) just sayin'
Thanks for this!

Are you able to masturbate yourself successfully? It sounds like you may need a release and that you may not be old enough to know how.

As long as the porn isn't based on hurting anyone/adults/kids/animals, and it isn't dominating your life, then I don't see what's wrong with it?

Everyone needs a release, just work on keeping it contained.
