Do you want it to be? If we are talking about the afterlife- it would be whatever you want it to be. If we are talking about the flip side of life. Hell Yeah!

Quote:
from your answer, the first thing you mentioned is death (afterlife). does that mean that paradise is a place, and that place is not earth? i don't know what flip side of life means. ? |

Well, I hadn't ever equated the concept of a spiritual paradise with sex...perhaps a PHYSICAL one, but not spiritual.

Interestingly, I have been thinking about exactly this question for the past three days, on a metaphorical level. I think that in paradisr, lovers who didn't have a chance to consummate their relationship are finally joined together. So that would be Romeo and Juliet. In that sense the paradise can be as erotic as such lovers want it to be.

Definitely not for me.
If there is an afterlife, I'd suppose there wouldn't be much point in sex- we wouldn't have our earthly bodies in order to feel the desire to mate, and no capability to reproduce so no need to mate... |

When you speak of "paradise", are you referring to Jannah?

The desire lives in the brain, though, so to the extent that the idea of paradise presupposes some sort of a persistence of psyche past the point of complete demise of the body (usually, that is how people think of heavens), then why can't that psyche carry the desire in it? But no reproduction, of course.
