Who's your crush?
Skrillex and DeadMau5

What does s/he look like?

Skrillex (Sonny Moore):
Single and Ready to Mingle

DeadMau5 (Joel Zimmerman):
Single and Ready to Mingle

What do you like about him/her?
I love the music they make and the adventures they go on.

What's the weirdest pick up line someone has said to you?
I don't remember.

Ever had someone buy you a drink?
Yes. When I was 15 and dressed as the Joker, lol, some woman thought I was hot.

What's the worst date you've been on?
We got lost going to the beach and we spent three hours in silence. Never talked to him again.

What's the best date you've been on?
We met just to get pedicures, he offered to pay and told me he liked getting pedicures, we spent the whole pedicure talking and then I asked him if he wanted to keep hanging out so we went to scandia for a couple hours and then I think we went to the beach. It was awesome.

Are you happy or sad you're single?

Happy. I'm waiting for the right guy. Sometimes I get frustrated, but I know it'll be worth it in the end.

I met a girl on a dating site a year ago. We had a date set up, but she never came. Later, she texted me and told me that she was sorry to have missed it, and that she wanted to Skype that night. I told her I could only talk for five minutes, as I had part of a huge project due in the morning. Well, she talked to me ALL NIGHT. I kept trying to tell her that I needed to work, and she'd just beg me to talk to her longer. As we talked, she confessed that she had lied about her age and her past drug use. She also kept saying that she loved me and sending me links to love songs that "reminded her of me."

In the morning, I felt awful (I'm one of those people who NEEDS sleep, and if I don't get it, I get physically ill). I realized that I couldn't give her the energy she needed, so I called her and told her as much. She tried to convince me to meet her for an in-person date. Finally, I agreed to it, and tried to be as boring as possible so that she'd lose interest. Luckily, my strategy worked!

Ever had a first kiss? Arguably. See next question

With who? A "girlfriend" of mine way back in elementary, hence why I wonder if the first question remains valid.

Did you date after? Yep

Who's your crush? An old friend of mine...long story.

What does s/he look like? N/A

What do you like about him/her? She's easy to talk to, sharp as a tack, and a great person all around. We've been best friends for most of my life.

What's the weirdest pick up line someone has said to you? "You have BEAUTIFUL lips." I was like "....uh...k. Thanks."

Ever had someone buy you a drink? Romantically? No. Because I can't buy it myself yet and both of my college best friends are 21? No comment.

What's the worst date you've been on? Oh God...my girlfriend in middle school. She invited herself to a family outing at the county fair...it was a bloody nightmare. Awkward, and she progressed WAAAAY to quick...she said "marriage." It's like...look, I'm in middle school, we've been dating four weeks, and I'M IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. Whatchu talkin' bout Willis? I'm not even *considering* marriage until I'm out of college, out of grad school, and know I can support myself and my wife for the lifestyle I want for us. So...no?

What's the best date you've been on? Hmmm...tricky question. One of those sort of weird predate things, where we're not officially dating, but we're going out to see how things would go just if we decided to. I'm not really even sure if that's a thing or not. But, it was an afternoon lunch and a movie. Had a really great time, both of us. But things didn't pan out in the long run...namely her ex came back and she gave him a second (3rd? 6th? I dunno) chance. Still good friends though.

Are you happy or sad you're single? It...varies. I enjoy being able to do as I please and being able to focus on my studies. That's nice. But mostly? I suffer from rather severe envy...I hate seeing people with what I want most yet seem to be unable to get, in part...which is wrong of me, I know. But I see these guys who treat their partner like a commodity, like a nice shirt that can be changed at will, which I fundamentally disagree with. Yet, no matter how much of an *** these guys are, girls seem to *FLOCK* to them. I don't understand it. I like to halfheartedly joke that I'd give a girl the world, if only she'd give me the chance.

Hahahaha

I dated this guy because he asked me out to prom and I felt obligated to date him...well on the first date, he said I can't wait till [this month and day]. And I said, why? And he goes, because that will be our one month anniversary. I didn't say this to him but I'm thinking, seriously? On a first date? I am not one of those sappy people who count the months, days, hours since we've dated. The only dates I care about is the 6 month date and yearly anniversaries.

Meh, I can almost see that...he's in the same pitfall I have a tendency to hit in that he's overly romantic...too attached, if you will. lol I see both sides...it's sappy as hell, yes, but he's genuinely happy to be there with you if he cares to note the date like that.

Though *just* for a prom date might be a hair much.

Prom is a big deal to girls. They don't want to show up alone. My second prom was just going with friends, and honestly that was much more entertaining. I also wore underwear the second time around....that really helps. xD

Oh I know it is. rofl My prom date, after her and I not seeing each other for years, recently made it *very* clear she wants to hang out...and soon. Caught me off guard, to say the least.

My first prom date was a friend...lol it wasn't fair. Our mutual friend knew I had a crush on her (the mutual friend, not my prom date), and lured me in...asked me if I was going to prom, asked if I had a date...then asked if I wanted to go with her friend. CLASSIC bait and switch.

Second date was the one who wants to get back in touch.

lol And I was boring and wore underwear both times. I'm always afraid a minor case of "dude, your fly is down" is going to turn into a catastrophe otherwise.

I've never had that happen to me before. Weird.

LMAO!

It felt sooooo awkward rubbing up against him without any underwear on...and I didn't shave either so I felt like he could feel my hair down there...ICK!

Ever had a first kiss?
Nooooope!

Who's your crush?
I have a big crush on one of my friends who lives in a different country. She's adorable and nice and silly and hilarious

What does s/he look like?
She's tall and kinda lanky. Wears hipster glasses and beanies and has long straight hair. Brown eyes and a cute smile.

What do you like about him/her?
She's a really sweet person who is adorable in every sense of the word. I've never been closer with someone because we share so many of the same interests and scream together online about tv shows and webcomics. I can talk to her about anything and everything and she can make it funny or comfort me really easily and now I'm just rambling so I'll stop here.

What's the weirdest pick up line someone has said to you?
Not a pick up line but one of my old tutoring students tried to hit on me and ask me to the movies and it was the most awkward text conversation I've ever had with someone lol

Ever had someone buy you a drink?
Haha. Only my friends

What's the worst date you've been on?
Oh god. So we met through a mutual friend and he was in town at my college so he gchated me to meet up. I thought it was just a friendly dinner until he offered to pay when we ordered. He's actually the most awkward person I've ever had the unfortunate joy of meeting and the entire dinner was so uncomfortable because he didn't know what to talk about and kept bring the conversation to our mutual friend and then when we ran out of that, I struggled so hard to find common ground so we stopped lapsing into silence. But even my attempts ended in failure most of the time and eventually he would try to start a conversation by saying "Soooo.... (insert mutual friend's name here)..." and trail off. AND IT WAS JUST SO TERRIBLE. I felt like I was dying and tried to eat quickly so I could escape. But after dinner he thought it was going WELL???? and asked if I wanted to go get coffee and I was like "yeahhhhh.... noooooo" and quickly biked away lololol.

What's the best date you've been on?
One of my best friends really liked me at the time and adorably asked me out on a date. He tried to dress up nice and brought me to a tasty burger place and we ate and chatted just like normal. A super sweet gentleman. Too bad I'm a lesbian lol.

Are you happy or sad you're single?
Fairly happy because I really need to work on myself before I get with someone. But I do want to come out of the closet eventually and meet fabulous ladies. Sometimes I get lonely for cuddles but, well, that's what my friends are for lol. They can't escape :P

Let's post pick-up lines, embarrassing first date stories, weird guys/gals you dated, and everything related to #1stWorldSingleProblems

Single Profile:
Ever had a first kiss?
yeeeess.

With who?

So... first kiss ever? I actually don't think I remember. I mean, not really. I remember a lot of "closer, closer, closer"... and then it was like "oh wait I think we've been making out for an hour"

Did you date after?

Yes/no. Not immediately. A couple years later he kind of chased my *** all over the place and said he was stupid "when he was younger" [...at the time he was 17 and I was 15. When we were slobbering all over each other it was a couple years prior... How can you have that whole perspective about being young and foolish when you just started driving?]

Who's your crush?

Probably my best friend?

What does s/he look like?

Lovely.

What do you like about him/her?

...I've never really felt the need to tell them anything but the truth.

What's the weirdest pick up line someone has said to you?

"WOW, That was pretty smart for a blonde chic!" [i was actually blonde at the time]

Ever had someone buy you a drink?

More have tried than I have taken up on the offer, but yeah.

What's the worst date you've been on?

It was someone from OKC, which are normally amusing even if it "doesn't go well". But this guy kept like... POINTING OUT the awkward and then making no effort to remedy said awkward. Actually, it was almost like how much awkward could we get...
A passage I wrote the following day:

"Just awkward.

I mean it was awkward awkwardness with a ******* awkward cherry on top [the kind that has a Siamese twin/tumor on it, but you don't want to waste a cherry so you go through the trouble of cutting it down to just the edible parts which turn out to be the size of a pencil eraser. Than you drop that bit on the floor]

There was so much awkward, we could have each gotten to-go boxes, filled them up with the excess awkward, and fed the entire population of Republic of Congo for a year- plus all the gorillas- on the awkwardness that was experienced this evening..."

What's the best date you've been on?
Phone date. I didn't call it a date at the time but now I do.
So, phone date. Seriously.

Are you happy or sad you're single?
The relationship status is irrelevant right now, I feel loved and appreciated and cared for. I'm happy where I'm at.
