Hello. I hope this question is appropriate for this section.

This is something that has happened a few times. When I urinate, sometimes it looks like light soap suds. And I'm not simply referring to it foaming up in the bowl. I mean that I literally touched it as it was coming out, rubbed it on my fingers, and it looked kind of like soap. I usually notice it happening when I'm almost done urinating, and it doesn't seem to happen all the time.

I think it would be good for me to tell about the first time I noticed this, as that was the most noticeable time it ever happened. One morning, a few months ago, I had just gotten out of the shower. I then went and urinated. After that happened, small drops of urine were still dropping (which I suppose is normal). After that I went to continued urinating and kind of started forcing it. I started to notice little white bubbly spots at the top of my penis, and soon after that, I noticed what looked like soap underneath my penis. It looked enough like soap, to the point where I actually wondered if I merely didn't rinse thoroughly down there in the shower after washing myself, but I figured it was connected to the small bubbly spots I noticed earlier. I would appreciate any information and help on this, because it's on my mind a lot lately.

Can someone tell me why this is, and if it's normal? Also, if this is normal (like, if it's normal for urinate to look sort of bubbly when you touch it and rub it on your finger), please tell me. I did some research about something in the penis called smegma. Is it possible that's what this is?

I would suggest quick urinalysis to make sure there are no proteins in the urine, which is not pphysiological, smegma or prostatic fluid should not be excreted as drops

Looking at my post again, I don't think I was clear.

When I rubbed it on my hand and looked at it, it doesn't take on the form of big suds. I just notice really small, clear bubbles, and it's usually only one tiny bubble. The only time where it looked like soap was that first instance where, as I said, I was really forcing it out (which I honestly shouldn't have done and was likely the issue), and I just sort of automatically connected that time to this worry and assumed they were the same thing.

Lately I've looked into it more with urinating. And from what I now gather, I think this might just be normal. Urine foaming in the bowl is a normal thing, and this might just be what happens when someone smears it on their finger... which I guess isn't a normal thing as most people seem to prefer avoiding getting it on their hands lol. I have a feeling I was overreacting to a harmless urination thing, which kind of goes in line with my other thread on this forum, but that's another topic.

Anyway, so I don't think there was necessarily ever a real issue here. However, if anyone reads this thread and thinks there is indeed an issue to take into account, please tell me.

Also, wife22, I don't mean the urine came out in drops. I mean it in the sense that it was kind of dropping after urinating. Like turning the water off in a shower and, afterward, water dripping in drops from the faucet. That's normal, isn't it?

To an extent. Although if you're getting older and your prostate is experiencing a little swelling it can cause that "dribbling" to go on for longer than it should.

There are multiple things you might have seen including a little semen cleared out in your urine or maybe even a little bit of a bladder infection. If you aren't experiencing any pain or or anything though, I would just keep an eye on it and if it continues, then talk to a doctor.
