Does anyone here have any experience with it? I would love to hear your take on it....sexual or nonsexual. What is the motivation behind wanting to be punished as a little child or do the punishing as an authority figure? I have had a little bit of experience but would like to hear others....I tend to want to be spanked as a submissive adult and am curious about the flip side.

What do you enjoy about being spanked as a submissive adult? The two situations seem similar to me. They both share common aspects such as the relinquishing of control.

Well the difference with age play, as I have heard (never done it/never wanted to), is that there is a big shift similar to subspace but you psychologically shift into a "younger" self. I have heard friends of mine say they felt a switch go off and felt much younger.

Age play isn't my thing, I have had spankings as a submissive adult from a dominant adult who would impose rules (nothing too serious) so I suppose domestic discipline that was non-sexual. I felt younger in the sense that I was being punished for behaviors by someone I saw as an authority figure with in a scene, which did help me submit and relax. But Age play seems a bit to intense for my liking.

As for motivation, I think it's another step of D/s for a lot of people. I guess going into a "young mind" space can cause someone to be more submissive, to get more subspace, etc. I think a Dominant person gains more control as well.

Spanking a child , not to hard, because he/she did something inappropriate. I think that's okay. Otherwise............!!!!

I think the idea behind submission games (eg being spanked) is that you surrender your power but in return you get looked after. So it's like being a baby in age play.

It's not okay, and that has nothing to do with this thread anyway.
Thanks for this!

agreed and thank you Phreak

I do think age play and the adult D/s relationships are somehow intertwined just at different levels. I think the need for domination is the same so hence both are submissives seeking out punishement but still curious about the subtle differences and the need to be in a different age mindset....I suspect it might be a way to heal or deal with childhood trauma.

Some therapists do use age regression for that purpose

I really don't know anything about age regression but my husband has informed me that he wants to introduce domestic discipline into our marriage. Not sure how I feel about it. The rules are pretty straight forward and so are the consequences for breaking them. I never thought of DD as a type of age regression but being spanked like a child qualifies as such. I'm willing to try it for a couple of months and see how it goes. I will keep you posted.

Remember the three golden rules: safe, sane, consensual! (SSC!)

If you're not sure how you feel about it don't forget that you can say NO!

Or perhaps it should work both ways if he breaks rules that you give him

Hi, I'm a 49yo man that has been very kinky since I was 10. Anyway, I think the 'flip side' is a lot more fun. I think besides being a little more risque, it is also a little more cerebral. And because of that, more endorphins are released. Imagination is the spice of life.
