my half brother and I reconnected after many years. we have the same father. after 4 months of being around each other, we got very close. it's been 2 years now and we have fallen in love with each other. some of my friends know but my family doesn't. we don't know what to do because we want to be together. I know they do allow family members to wed in new jersey. but the question is about having children... I heard they would come out deformed if we had any. I've been to see a counselor but I've decided that I don't want to change this because it's the happiest I've ever been. I guess I'll have to keep this a secret...

So "Genetic Sexual Attraction" is just a politically correct term for incest? Not that I mean to sound crude or judgemental by any means, I'm just trying to better understand this whole "being romantically attracted to a blood relative" thing.

Genetic Sexual Attraction is a very common problem that estranged family members face when reuniting. It is a surge of emotions and feelings that the body doesnt know what to do with, so it translates them into sexual feelings. I have experienced this with my biological father, when reuniting after nearly 18 years apart. It is not so simple as feeling attracted, it is a very strong urge, nearly irresistible.

It's too bad society and biology won't let you live together in peace and have kids. Do you have to have children? Can you adopt, if you must? Is it illegal to marry your half-brother?
