Sexual intercourse, how is it initiated?

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering how intercourse is generally initiated between long-term partners. I picture a few scenarios

1. Lying in bed at night trying to sleep, maybe talking, then there is some touching, and then some of the time it goes further than that, into sex

2. Scheduled intercourse. Every Friday night, or after the hockey game, etc.

3. Casual flirting around the house which leads to intercourse on the spot.

4. Regular dating with the implication that intercourse will follow after dinner.

5. Making a polite request for sex, which is accepted.

Which of these apply to you? Or do you have your own scenarios?

How about begging pleeeeeeaaaaseeee? Just kidding, couldn't resist.

In the first year of my marriage anything would lead to sex. Now its usually me running my fingers up and down my wife's thighs, if she closes her eyes I know we're good to go.

Sounds like you wore her down.

Do you need more intercourse than your male partner?

I don't have a male partner. Or any partner for that matter.

Good question. It's the bane of my existence.

The best way is simply to touch, kiss, and take it further. No rules. Some variety. Just turn the other person on by doing what they like. If they don't want, they'll say no.

But--

They tell singles to ask permission first because of date rape.

When I flirt (if we are at home in all these examples) , he responds, then I look him in the eyes with a sort of sexual smile on my face (he grabs my hand and leads me to the bedroom)
When he flirts and I respond with "the smile"
When he gets in bed and I scoot over to his side of the bed and hold him tightly (doesn't always lead to sex, for me holding is as great as sex, but it usually does)
When I'm in the room and he comes in and shuts and locks to door (daytime)
When I ask him "will you please snuggle with me"--he does and many times it leads to sex.
When I ask "for sex" (though it's unusual for me to be this direct so he knows I really need it)
When he grabs my hand(s) and places them on a certain part of his anatomy (it's never soft when this happens)
When he starts touching me in all my favorite ways.
When he asks for a specific "service"
PS I rarely say no; though I did on the day I attempted. It's pretty rare for him to be unresponsive as well.
Ocassionally, he drives me crazy but sex makes me smile. When we are having sex a lot, things seem more harmonious on a personal level between us.
