Wondering how other people cope with these coming together in bed?
I have noticed that my sexual performance has changed. Sometimes it is harder for me to get and sustain an erection, orgasm is very difficult to reach. I still enjoy sex and my partner and I are able to talk about it, but it still leaves me worried that I am not living up to expectations, all evidence to the contrary not withstanding. I am definitely not twenty anymore. Thankfully intimacy not orgasm has become the goal. |

Hello LifeInProgress: I don't know as there is really much I can offer with regard to this. But I noticed no one had replied to your post. So I thought I would.
I'm an older person. And I lost my sexual ability many years ago to a combination of surgery, depression, anxiety, & antidepressants along with some other stuff. (And, truth be told, I was not sad to see it go.) Since then I've become pretty-much entirely non-intimate, non-sexual. I just prefer to be left alone. Things do change as one ages. On the other hand, they don't change for most people as much as they have for me. I do think it is a most positive sign that you have been able to re-orient your goal toward intimacy. I have the feeling that could be a major hurdle for many men. ![]() ![]() |

Ssri's can take away your drive. Celexa citalopram froze me while Prozac and welbutrin has no effect. Consult your doctor. ![]() |

Welbutrin, geodon, depakote, zoloft, prazozin, also metformin, insulin, and gemfibrizol.
My partner and I are enjoying our sex life very much, it's just different than it used to be for me. I have talked with pdoc about it before, and he thinks a lot of it may be due to zoloft. |
