I wasn’t in the states for MTV’s first broadcast, but...

...I’m watching some 1980’s music videos and, man, did girls have some big hair back then. I had sex with girls who had big hair.

Watching a Van Halen video is a poignant reminder that boys had big hair back then, too. I never had big hair.

I watched 116 videos from the 1980’s.

I think that the very best is The Boss’s “Dancin’ In The Dark.” Springsteen sings and moves as if he has the finest junk in the world.

And his hair isn’t big.

***maybe I’m just like my father***

Ha-ha-ha... well... I was already pretty-much "over the hill", so to speak, by the time the 1980's rolled around. But as I recall, prior to the appearance of the hippie generation (which I guess I was actually a part of), girls had some pretty big hair back then too. (I seem to recall I almost married one.)

Speaking of the Boss, there's a video on YouTube of Springsteen performing his version of the old folk song "Erie Canal". I've never been a fan of Springsteen. But I do love that performance.

Thanks for sharing! I kind of wish I'd lived through that whole fantastic decade as a teenager. For I was born in January of 1986 and so the 90's was like my 80's.

The woman in the Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark Video is Courtney Cox

I have a bit of a think for women with lots of hair in other places than on their heads.
