I've known I was bisexual since I was younger. This is who I am. Some friends stopped speaking to me, while others bash me and I've had a few people tell me it's just a phase. I used to cry because I used to feel ashamed. My parents are very strict and I can't speak my mind about it. I wish I could talk to others about it and be respected for my sexuality without being judged or criticized. I've been hurt all my life by what my family says to me. Now I'm coming out of my shell and this is the first time I'm posting about it.

i'm very sorry you are struggling, i am straight but i'm very aware of the stigma around being bi, just be you, its the only honest thing we can do in life, and the hell with haters, of course with your family its much more of a sensitive issue, i have no experience myself and i just wish you well

You are who you are. I'm sorry they don't understand. Do you have a preference, leaning more male or female? I think many bisexuals do. Honestly, I don't think you need to trumpet your preferences for all to hear, but when you find the person you want a relationship with, then go with that--and I suggest you be faithful to that one person. Okay?
