So tell me your opinions please. I have been in one heterosexual relationship and several homosexual relationships and it seems to me that while I enjoy being in a homosexual relationship more, I find that it is harder and there are more problems with acceptance from other with it.

I think society is indeed more accepting of straight couples, or heterosexual relationships. Even though homosexuality is more eccepted than it has been in the past, there is still controversy, and you will still have people out there that just won't accept it sadly. As far as whether one is more harder than the other, I'm sure being homosexual seems harder because not everyone is as accepting with it.

Thank you for the welcome and reply. I agree that society does have a part to do with making a homosexual relationship a little harder. But I live in California and with the recent changes being made in courts and proposed changes to the California constitution it is uncertain as to if things will become easier or even at that more accepting here.

I definitely agree that non hetero relationships can be harder in a lot of ways, but you have to do what you have to do to be happy.

Any relationship, gay or straight, requires work by both people involved.
Society though, is far more accepting of a straight couple. And in more states than not, it is still illegal to marry or even have a civil commitment ceremony between a gay or lesbian couple. But hey, interracial marriages were illegal in most states at one time, and look how far we have come. Good luck with any relationship who begin, and remember, you both will need to work hard to make it work. But true love is worth it! Take care |
