Oh...in my real life, I'm totally asexual...not thinking about it at all. I've abstained from it like the plague! This morning, I was awakened from a deep sleep with a massive orgasm! I even went back to sleep and it continued! I wasn't even with a partner in the dream...just by myself in a bathtub thinking about some nondescript male in the dream! Gosh!
I'm thinking this tells me that I'm still a functioning sexual being, but I don't feel like it in my daily life!

Good deal. It is nice when they happen. I'm not all that sexual myself, I've got enough on my plate these days...but I have signed up with a couple online dating services, so we'll see, maybe I'll be with Ms. Right by the end of the year, you never know!

Good luck to you, Violet! I've been there, done that, for many years after my divorce, actually. My experiences were not good...not good at all!, though I did date several people I met that way for extended periods. Turned into nightmares! I would say just to be very discerning in all the men you meet. You're probably a lot smarter than me in such things!

if you need to have a sexual dream- the bigger the better.
i have had hormonal problems relating to depression that made me very asexual.
i see an endocrinologist now and take meds for it.these meds moderate my hormones all that can be tested in my blood tests. i don't feel very sexual but i am much more sexual than i was. it's a good feeling. i mention this not to hijack the thread but to show others that it is possible to change sexually with help.
i am glad it is happening to you seeker and that you are confident enough to go with it. waking up is a beautiful thing.

PJ...I think hormones (or the lack of) have a big effect on me as well. Also, I have been decreasing my Paxil, just not taking it every other day or so. I would like to go off it completely, but I find myself crying over small things and realize it is probably due to the decrease of antidepressant. This decrease has also led to more such sexual dreams since I originally posted this thread. I know that the antidepressant decreases the sexual aspect in me...
I'm trying to wean off it completely, but since I've been on one form or another of this medication for about 14 years now, not sure I will be able to do it, or even if it is wise to do so.

I get those kinda dreams sometimes but most of the times i'm doing stuff with someone of the same gender, i've never had an orgasm though. lol I think random stuff just happens with our minds when we sleep.

Kitty...I think you're right about the random stuff, as I have a lot of crazy, "cinematic" dreams that go on and on. In many of them, though, I am trying to solve some issue, which usually goes unresolved. The rare sexual dreams are kind of disturbing or unsettling to me, since my real life is so devoid of such.

Some of us live for moments - dreams like these.....
I personal like them when they happen and I often miss them when to much time passes with out one.

Enjoy the dreams if they do not bother you emotionally..... and know that such dreams are used to release sexual tension that is built up in you that is not being released in your waking hours.... which btw is normal.
