I haved on and off dreams about water.

Terrifing. Rushing in. Huge waves. No where to go.

Driving my car on the road and it comes to this pointed trinagle of complete water - nothing else in sight.

Does anyone know what this could mean?

As I understand it, water can refer to several possible motifs:

- Emotions

- The Feminine

- The Unconscious

You could also try searching various dream dictionaries on the net for more insight. You might enjoy this link as well: The Dream of the Water: The Quest for the Numinous

Yes, I think water is emotions/unconscious; I once had a dream where I was in a submarine, in laundry water, in an underground garage, LOL.

Pay attention to who you are with and the "plot" or what's going on in your life that's difficult/overwhelming at the moment (or that you've been thinking about). It probably needs some work in daylight hours :-)

Yes, the other factor to pay attention to is the action within the dream.

starlite, you were driving (suggestive of control, of being "in the driver's seat") along a road (your chosen path?) when suddenly you are brought to a halt by an enormous and overwhelming body of water that is shaped like a triangle (do you have a similar "triangulated" relationship in your life?).

Either way, the dream seems to be telling you: You need to deal with the "water" and you cannot not do so from within a car (or your usual method of transportation/delivery). Maybe you need to switch to a boat for the next part of this journey.

I will pay attention to what is going on in my life when I have those types of dreams again .

As for taking a boat, canoe, cruise, pondtune.... No way.

That in it's self means I have no control over my own situation - that I am at the hands of others. The same goes for buses, or long trips with someone else driving. Actually just in the city I don't want anyone to drive me.
Yet there are places to go - I go then come home in an anxiety attack.

I've had a similar dream, driving until the road gets covered with water. After I met someone I thought I would marry, I had one last dream where my vehicle went into the water and I tumbled out. In the dream I was not scared of the water, but in real life I would be terrified if that happened. Until I read this message I hadn't even thought of that dream in over 2 years, the time I was socially active. I used to have the dream of driving on a road that was flooding or being hit by a wave at least once a year. Just kind of odd. . .

Yes Robin - You have my dream exactly, except for the marriage part.
Nor had I tumbled from the car.

Other than that exactly the same.

It is terrifing to me.
