Couldn't sleep after this one woke me up...
I was standing in the middle of a city with friends and family surrounding me. I left the city and began walking around the world, seeing all the wonders there are to behold. After my tour of the world, I was ushered through the streets as a one man parade, only no one was happy, they were all crying out to me, "Why won't you save us?". As I finished walking the streets, I found myself standing in front of a lake, and I said to a crowd of people, "There is nothing left for me here, why would I save you?". I then looked towards the city, and stood by as the world fell apart, and rebuilt itself in fast-motion. I could still here the passersby crying out and yelling at me as time passed, and a sign was built beside me reading: "The man who doesn't care". When I broke my long meditation, I was asked why I had been waiting all that time, and what for. I answered, "Nothing... I wanted there to be nothing..." How could I be so cruel? |

"Wanting nothing" isn't always cruel, sometimes it's a cry for help.
Dreams also have a way of taking emotions so small we hardly notice them in waking and making our dream world revolve around them. Maybe you saw something on the news one evening and noticed that it didn't bother you like you thought it would. Maybe there was some small thing you think you could have done more about but for some reason you didn't. Maybe a friend called and you weren't as excited about there news as you might have been. Maybe you think you don't deserve some attention you are getting for some little thing you did. Lots of possibilities. Dreams are a window into our soul, if only we had a map to go with it. . . |
