Last night I had a dream that I was trying to SU twice and failed both times. I haven't even felt like SU lately, so I can't figure out why I would even dream about something like that.
I remember the second time, in my dream, I was standing on a bridge, there were bars that were far enough apart that I could slip through them if anyone came close enough. Then, when the police stepped closer, the bars got much closer together so that I couldn't squeeze through them. Then, the cops took me down off the bridge, handcuffed me and threw me in the car. Then I was taken to this room with one of the cops and they were keeping me separated from everyone else. It was weird and I woke up totally confused!

Maybe.....
Bridge represents direction (since usually open on both ends, as well as distance beneath you). Police means authority, but maybe in this case represents your own conscience. The bars maybe represent choice. And the closer you came to terms with conscience, (cops approaching), the closer the bars closed on you, refusing yourself from self-abandonment? Cops removing you from bridge may be your own self saving self. Placing yourself in room which prevented you from any possible outside influences that may/may not be causing you further confusion...? Hmmm....no idea, really. Shangrala ![]()

Wow! That is some major insight that I didn't even think of, Shangrala! Thank you! I have been thinking about this dream a lot and remember thinking that there was a part of me that really wanted to jump, but once the bars had closed in, I was thankful that there was a barrier or something because I didn't really want to go through with it.
In my dream, I can recall feeling like I needed saving and that the bars closing was saving me from doing something I didn't want to do without me having to make the decision. If that makes any sense at all. I feel like there was a part of me that needed help, but didn't know how to ask for it, so instead there were drastic measures that were taken (threatening SU in my dream). I really need to think about this more because what you said really hit me (in a good way). ![]()

Ok let me have a go here SU= death
death of one thing begining of a new thing? personal opinion here but what if the cops were not cops but guardian angels?. The bars getting closer together to stop you obviously from troubled waters?. Like I said just my thoughts here.
